M ORIENTAL BANK FURTHER REDUCES ITS BASE LENDING RATE
We are pleased to announce a further downward adjustment of our base lending rate from 14.5% p.a. to 13.6% p.a. effective 15TH,  SEPTEMBER 2025.
The reduction of loan interest rates will apply to all existing and new Kenya Shilling denominated credit facilities.
We shall continue to assess the market and advise accordingly in case of any further changes.

CHANGE IN CHAIRMANSHIP OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

We are pleased to announce a significant leadership transition at M Oriental Bank. Mr. Rupen Haria will assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors, succeeding Mr. Shanti Shah, who has served with exemplary dedication and vision during his tenure. Both Mr. Shah and Mr. Haria have been long-serving Directors of the bank and have played pivotal roles in strengthening our corporate governance. 

 

Mr. Rupen Haria brings a wealth of experience in corporate governance, having held key leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry and having served as a director of the bank. We are confident that under his stewardship, M Oriental Bank will continue to strengthen its commitment to service excellence, customer centricity and innovation.

Corporate Social Responsibility 2024

In May 2024, M Oriental Bank demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility by supporting Divine Mercy Children’s Home.

The bank donated essential items, including food supplies, stationery, mattresses, and toys, to help improve the well-being of the children. In addition, staff members spent the day engaging with the children, fostering a spirit of care and community.

This initiative reflects M Oriental Bank’s dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable members of society.

INTERBANK SPORTS


It was all fun and games in a friendly competitive atmosphere during the KIB Interbank Sports held at the premier Kenya School of Monetary Studies in Nairobi. Our staff participated in various sports disciplines, from board games to track and field events.

We had staff participation in the following sports disciplines: Scrabble, Chess, Draught, Snooker, Badminton, Swimming & Athletics.
