Compliance Risk Officer – AML/CFT & Regulatory Compliance

Are you an experienced compliance professional with a strong understanding of AML/CFT, regulatory compliance and financial crime risk management?

M Oriental Bank is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Compliance Risk Officer to support the Bank’s AML/CFT and regulatory compliance activities, including transaction monitoring, KYC/CDD/EDD, sanctions screening, regulatory reporting and compliance monitoring.

Key Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Risk Management, Compliance, Banking or a related field.
• 4–6 years’ relevant experience in AML/CFT, Compliance, Financial Crime or Risk Management.
• Experience in transaction monitoring and investigations.
• Strong knowledge of KYC, CDD & EDD.
• Practical experience with FRC/goAML reporting, including CTR and STR/SAR processes.
• Experience in sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening.
• Strong understanding of Kenya’s AML/CFT and banking regulatory environment.
• Experience in a commercial banking environment is strongly preferred.
• CAMS/ACAMS, CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
