Reuben Mbindu

Mr. Reuben Mbindu has carved out an impressive career spanning over 35 years across various fields with the major part focused on banking. His journey has seen him ascend to senior leadership positions working for Standard Chartered Bank and Equity Bank Group across the UK (London), Tanzania, Ghana, and Kenya. His expertise extends across Information Technology, Risk Management, Human Resource Management, and Corporate Governance. Mr. Mbindu has a BSc. degree in Computer Engineering from the Technical University, Nurnberg, Germany.

Rupen M. Haria

He is a highly successful businessman with a sound reputation in society and business circles. Appointed to the board on 29th June 2012, he currently serves as the Board Chairman. He brings a wealth of experience to the board, being the MD of Harleys Ltd (a highly reputable pharmaceutical company) and a director of Rahans Ltd and Universal Corporation Ltd among other companies.

Simon Gregory (Resigned)

Simon Gregory, an experienced corporate finance and investment banker, is a qualified Bachelor of Science in Economics with Accountancy from the Loughborough University of Technology, UK. In 1998, he also qualified as a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. He has experience in investment banking at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and corporate finance at ABN Amro, and has handled a wide spectrum of corporate finance and broking related transactions.

Amool Jivrav Nathwani

Amool Jivrav Nathwani is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is also a member of ICPAK and ICPSK. He runs Vista Management Consultancy Ltd (est. 2006), providing corporate governance, tax planning, business restructuring, and ICT systems review services. He previously worked for Marshalls (East Africa) Ltd as Group Managing Director and for General Printers Limited as Finance Director, and was an audit senior at Deloitte & Touche, Nairobi.

Jayesh Shah

Jayesh Shah, the Group Managing Director and CEO of Sumaria Group, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management (Marketing) from the University of Lancaster, UK. He joined the family business in 1982 and has been instrumental in the exponential growth of the group across Sub-Saharan Africa and overseas. He has served on various boards and industry bodies.

Mr. Andrew Mugambi

He has over 20 years of legal practice experience focusing on mergers & acquisitions, banking and finance, and major project development in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

He advises both multinational and local clients and is recognized by IFLR1000, Legal 500, and Chambers & Partners as a leading lawyer. Andrew also serves on the boards of Sanlam Investment East Africa Limited and the National Health Insurance Fund, where he chairs the Audit Committees.
